Final table bubble, HORSE ring, and UGA vs Bama

So yesterday I decided to play a $16.50 HORSE with some fellow CC'ers, and I bubbled the final table :( I was absolutely killing the tourney before around 12 players left. I was chip leader from about 37 players left until 12. Then I started getting bad cards, making bad reads, and getting bad beats. I ended up getting sucked out on in O/8 to hit the rail. $45 for my efforts, but a second final table on the day would have been sweet :)

I have began to play HORSE ring games as well. I have played these before, but never really seriously. As of right now, variance is on my side. I hope it stays this way, because the game is REALLY soft and easy to beat. I'll keep you all updated on my progress in this, I'm hoping to turn it into a full time thing if it goes well.

As for UGA vs Bama, I think Bama wanting to cancel because of gas prices tells it all. UGA dominates in this one, 35-14 to go 5-0 on the year. The blackout is always awesome too!

Another final table

This one didnt last very long though. I was the short stack the entire time, and managed a 7th place finish for $101. Not bad for $2 investment or 5 hours work. All in all, I'm disappointed in my finish. I pushed a marginal hand in the end when I could have came back. O well I guess, there will be other tourneys for me to final table and win. This gives my roll a boost it needs though, so I can start playing bigger games :)

God, it has been forever

Ya, I'm still alive lol. Idk why I started not updating again, but I'm back, hopefully for good. This whole time I've still been playing poker, and actually getting some deep finishes and good cashes. A couple notable ones are going deep in the Sunday 200k, finished 198th for $217. Played a great game, but had the shittiest luck ever. I had 7 2 outers catch on me, no joke, among several other beats I managed to come back from. I then placed in the final 2 tables of 5 mtt's, only to fall short of the final table.

Two weeks ago on Sunday was however the turn around. I finished 7th in a 6 max tourney early in the day (grrrrr). I then played a few 18 player sng's and won a couple. By the time 1am rolled around, I had registered for the $3 3k guarantee. For the most part of the first 2 hours, I was short stacked, just trying to survive until the money. After the money bubble busted, I exploded, becoming chip leader for the majority of the tourney after it. After about 4 and a half hours, I was on the final 2 tables again. I was talking to a few friends on CardsChat, and I told them, "I will not bust before this final table." I was sick of coming up short, but this tourney ended my drought. I final tabled it, and owned the final table until we were 3 handed. It was not a matter of skill that killed me, I was light years ahead of both of the guys. It was plain luck. I had 66 on the button with about 700k chips. I raise to 60k (blinds 10/20k), sb calls bb folds. Flop comes 6 3 Q. Sb bets 100k, I raise to 315k, he calls. Turn brings antoher Q, which was also the third club on the board. I was confident he had either a set or a flush at this point, so after he checked I made a large bet and he pushed over the top and I insta call. He flips QJ for the set, and rivers a J. I was pissed, and only left with 20k chips, and was out a few hands later. 3rd place for $421 and only $3 invested is a good deal though, although I should have won :(

As for my bankroll now, it's almost time for me and my girlfriends 2 year anniversary, so I'm going to have to make a cashout. I'm probably going to leave myself with about $50 or so, which will be plenty of money for me to grind up the limits with. PokerStars Carribbean Adventure is coming up as well, so I'll definately be playing satties to it. Well thats about all I have to give updates on, sorry for not taking care of this thing :(
