Alright, so a person who takes the time to make a blog about his poker play is playing in games for play money, whats up with that? Actually, in the past I have had an awful time following bankroll management guidelines, and have gone broke fairly quickly. It seemed like I did not value the money like I should have. So one day on
CardsChat.com, I was reading a thread about selling play chips for money. At first, like many others, I did not believe it. Then I did some research(me doing research, go figure), and it turned out to be legit. Turns out, I can get anywhere from $100-$120 for 10 million play chips. I am
choosing to go this route for two reasons:
1. I
don't have the money to deposit right now, and I want to play some real poker
2.So I have a better appreciation of my money, and actually manage it properly.
I feel that after the hard work it will take to get to 10 million, I will manage it so strictly that it will take a
horrendous down swing to make me go broke again. And being broke again is a feeling that I do not want to have ever again.
I am currently sitting at 2.3 million play chips, about a quarter of the way to my goal, I will keep everybody posted on my progress!
